About Us
Corran House is a Scottish Tourist Board 4 star hostel. It occupies a wee niche in accommodation provision in Argyll. Quality rooms at budget prices for families, groups, backpackers and individuals.
The family run hostel is owned and managed by Roddy and Susan Scott with the help of a friendly staff. It has gained in public popularity over the past few years and large numbers of guests return each year.
Corran House provides comfortable guesthouse and hostel accommodation in 8 dorm rooms, sleeping a total of 32 people and also 12 guest rooms. There is a spacious and well equipped self-catering kitchen with seating for 20-25 people and a comfortable TV lounge.
There is ample parking on either side of the building. This is free after 6pm however there is a charge of 50 pence per 40 minutes stay during the day.
By prior arrangement, large groups can be provided with a light or full breakfast in the downstairs bar.
On the patio is Markie Dan's ale house with its famous range of malt whisky and bar meals.
Enjoy the beautiful view from the door step while you sample Markie Dan's food and drink.
Please note that Corran House is totally non-smoking and there is no stair lift in operation.
